Nysmith is definitely different from other schools, you sense it right away. I remember actually first touring the school and I was able to get a tour from Carol Nysmith, and it was just such a warm feeling, it was so cute because the kids would just run up to her and hug her during our tour…..I just loved that the kids were so comfortable that they would just run up to her…and show their love and appreciation….it is very very sweet and has stuck with me over all these years…probably 10 or 12 years ago.

While learning at Nysmith, what I have enjoyed the most is how each teacher made each class feel distinct and interesting. I was not just amazed about how knowledgeable the teachers were in their subjects but also how they were able to coordinate with the other teachers. Nysmith has done an excellent job preparing us for the future. As students, we were presented with many academic paths and extracurricular activities. We were free to discover new talents and explore many opportunities that helped us realize who we are and who we want to be. We learned not to be followers, but to create our own path.
